A Danish company, sourced at the source.
Croco Coir ApS is a Danish company specialising in high-quality reptile substrate, with direct family ties to coconut production in Vietnam. Real people, a short supply chain, and a genuine reason to care about quality — order after order.
Specialists, not a general supplier.
Croco Coir (Croco Coir ApS) is run from Denmark and focuses on one thing: premium coco substrate for reptiles and terrariums. Founded by Mathias Minh Nguyen, a Danish-Vietnamese entrepreneur, it bridges a European base that understands importers with a Vietnamese source that delivers the raw material.
That focus is the point. We're not a horticulture wholesaler treating pets as a sideline — the range, the documentation and the advice are all built for animal habitats and the European brands that serve them.
Based in Denmark
Commercial and sales in the EU, close to the brands, importers and retailers we supply.
Reptile substrate only
A deliberately narrow focus — coco built and documented for terrarium use.
Direct Vietnamese source
Family relationships in the Mekong Delta give us trusted, direct access to production.

Not a faceless supplier.
When you source from Croco Coir, you're dealing with a named founder who travels to the production region and stands behind the product. That accountability is hard to get from an anonymous trading account — and it's exactly what serious buyers want.
A real person, a real source, and a relationship you can pick up the phone and rely on.

Where does your coco come from?
Our coir comes from Ben Tre province in Vietnam's Mekong Delta — one of the country's most important coconut regions — through long-standing family relationships in the local coir industry.
Coco coir is the fibrous material from the coconut husk: a renewable by-product of an established harvest, not a crop grown for substrate. Producing it here, through people we know, keeps the chain short and the material fresh — a practical advantage for buyers, not a story we dress up.
The substrate every reputable European reptile brand can build on.
We want to be the easiest substrate supplier in the category to build a business on — clear products, consistent and animal-safe quality, documentation that travels, and advice you can trust, including when the honest answer is “coco isn't right for that animal.”
Ben Tre → container → Europe
A short, transparent path from coconut husk to your warehouse.
Husk collection & washing
Coconut husks — a by-product of the regional harvest — are gathered, washed and separated into fibre and chips in Ben Tre.
Grading, blending & packing
Material is dried, sieved, graded and blended to defined ratios, then compressed or packed loose under ISO 9001:2015.
Container shipping to Europe
Full-container loads are shipped to Europe with the documentation importers expect.
Delivery & repeat supply
Delivered to your warehouse, with planned repeat supply so your shelves stay stocked.
Made from coconut husk that would otherwise be waste.
Coconuts are harvested continuously, year after year.
A substrate that doesn't rely on harvesting peat bogs.
